Elgin 1 HP, 1/2HP, and 1/4 HP Redemotors Maytag bought out the Elgin RedeMotor engines in 1916, and renamed them the Maytag MultiMotor. Shortly thereafter Maytag updated the engines with the G carburetor. Maytag continued producing all three sizes for a very short time and dropped production of the 1/4 HP engine. They continued 1/2 HP and 1HP production into the 1920's. |
